* In the postwar period, Britain developed a set of three strategic "V-Bombers", including the "Valiant", the "Victor", and the "Vulcan", which were the backbone of the UK's nuclear deterrence at the height of the Cold War. This set of documents describes the V-bombers -- as well as the elegant "VC10" jetliner, which as an inflight refueling tanker could be thought of as the "V-tanker".
