* Critics of modern evolutionary theory (MET) have traditionally attempted to use the laws of thermodynamics in their attacks on modern biological science. They have made little progress in this exercise due to their fundamental misconceptions of both MET and thermodynamics -- and in implied recognition of this failure they have turned to conceptually similar arguments against MET based on a branch of mathematics known as "information theory".
All such attacks on MET using thermodynamics and information theory are, by intent, obscure and confusing. It's not difficult hard show, however, there's really not much there. This document provides an informal survey of thermodynamics, information theory, and their relevance -- or lack thereof -- to MET to set the facts straight.
